HALLOWEEN
ХЕЛЛОУІН 31 жовтня у Великій Британі та Сполучених Штатах відзначають свято Хеллоуіна, язицке свято повернення душ померлих, які відвідують ті місця, де вони колись жили.
Будинки прикрашають спеціальними ліхтарями, виготовленими з гарбуза зі свічкою всередині. Головна розвага дітей на Хеллоуін — це випрошування гостинців. Діти переодягаються в маскарадні костюми та маски, ходять від будинку до будинку та кажуть "Trick or Treat?" — "пригощайте, або пожартуємо". Якщо їм не дають грошей або солодощів, вони можуть зіграти злий трюк, наприклад бризнути водою в обличчя. They also believed that witches and ghosts were everywhere that night and could do harm to people. But they were afraid of light, that’s why people created jack-o lanterns out of pumpkins.
